Dutch artist Parra launched his solo project at The Lazy Dog Gallery in Paris earlier this week and goes until January 10th. In Parra fashion, expect to see slick ass illustration work along with the famous fonts and type usage that make the pieces one of a kinds. Jump over to Hypequest for more images.

The great Alife camp just released their new five pocket, button fly selvage denim today. These jeans are straight leg cut and are made in Japan (make sense, right?) The only colorway as of now available is raw indigo but I'd like to think that a darker scheme is coming soon within the month or so. For whatever its worth, jump on them and phone your order in!

This guy has been a favorite of mine since I heard his remix to Kanye's "Flashing Lights" that hit the blogs earlier this year. Now, in celebration of his new site, Colin dropped a new mixtape full of material featuring Black Milk, Wale, Drake and Blaqstarr. Please, download this and play it through out your weekend. It'll definitely brighten up these gloomy days of December for the people feeling the effect of cold weather and snow.

Last week, the infamous designer Jeremy Scott came through Tokyo's Shibuya District and wrecked shop bringing a hand full of djs and himself being a guest dj as well. The attendees stretched from Japanese fashion heads and designers alike to celebrate Jeremy's arrival in the city. Check the pictures of the event at Tokyo Dandy

Ive been working a EP and the other contributors are well....living their lives away from computers. Also, within the next month or so there will be a ton of entries that involve music and art culture, yeah...it seems like every other fuckin site does that too but it'll be stuff from here and there thats going on around my city and whatnot.
Lets see...Winter is approaching and I frankly dont give a shit and this weather makes me rethink why the hell Im located in the Midwest.
Other than that, Enjoy the weekend and listen to good music and have a few drinks...but dont drive afterwards.

Saturday was the set date for the much anticipated collaboration between Comme des Garcons and swedish clothing retailer H&M to launch their recent projects in Japan. More than 2,000 people were lined up for hours (and days!) to check out the newest pieces that dropped and its projected that the line will also show up here in the states within the next week.
Im glad that things like this happen between labels partly due to some CdG pieces being very expensive and whatnot and having this be a little bit of an outlet for the crowd who cant turn out x-amount of thousands for a outfit can get a high fashion look for cheaper. Check your local H&M stores for info to see if this line is coming your city.

Chris Schonberger, a columnist at High Snobiety, has informed us that finally Rap City will be pulling its plug and Im sure that no one gives a shit about that show anyways now though due to the flashy and non-talented artist that have came there throughout the recent years of the show.
Im a hip-hop fan from the time I was able to understand the human language..no shit. But, I remember coming home from school and tuning into this show and seeing the first host Chris Thomas and then on to Joe Clair, Big Lez and from there Big Tigga and now its some no namer who had its claim to fame from Myspace or some shit. For whatever its worth, this show used to be on for 2hrs a day and then on Wednesdays they'd play old school hip-hop music videos and whatnot and now I think its on for an hour and its nothing but Lil Wayne and other glamorous bullshit rap music.
Im actually glad this show is ending, now they can't show dumb ass rap videos in the afternoon that influence teenagers to become what they see and hear on television and think that its an easy task to become a one hit wonder with an effortless chorus and dance moves. All due respect to the pioneers of that show and the concept behind but like I stated...good fucking riddens.

I don't know of the any recent news of this cat...meaning, I know he used to run with the Diamond Supply Company (maybe he still does get down with them and Nick Tershay) but whatever the case may be, he gets nice on this tune and I'm sure this is a preview of whats to come in the near future. Check for more of his material on his myspace music page.
